The dissertation deals with one of the specifics of the history of the Bohemia lands in the early modern period - the conflicts between the Habsburg monarchy and the Ottoman Empire. The aim of the thesis is to create a comprehensive view of the changing relations between the Bohemian lands during the reign of Emperor Rudolph II and the countries which, during the periods of Turkish expansion into Europe, constituted a kind of barrier between the Habsburg and Ottoman empires, i.e. Transylvania, Wallachia and Moldavia. The research topic is narrowed down to the period of the so-called Long Turkish War (1591-1606) and the subsequent period until 1613 (the death of the princes of Transylvania, Sigismund Báthory and Gabriel Báthory). 1613 is thus seen as the final landmark. The dissertation consists of three parts: 1) A brief theoretical introduction. 2) In the second part, the development of political, economic, and cultural relations between the Habsburgs and the rulers of the above-mentioned countries is depicted. 3) Interpretation so-called the second life these historical events in the Romanian and Czech historiography in the culture of both these nations. Keywords Transylvania; Wallachia; Moldavia; Bohemia lands; Early Modern; Long Turkish War Sigismund Bathory; Michael the Brave

Folk songs from Študlov and their use in school and extracurricular music education
Hrnčiříková, Marie ; Pecháček, Stanislav (advisor) ; Nedělka, Michal (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to collect and analyse folk songs from Studlov and to propose their use in school and after-school music education. Thanks to the collectors and their musical notations, it is possible to analyse individual songs and thus look for connections in the folk music of this Wallachian village. Through these sources, I have created a songbook of Studlov folk songs for the purposes of music education and the preservation of traditions. In order to be able to extract as much information as possible from the multitude of songs for their analysis, I have divided them into several groups according to their content. The categorization helped to further research and clarified the weight of folk song in certain areas of the lives of the original tradition bearers. Finally, I have adapted a few selected songs, especially for the purpose of after-school music education. The aim of the arrangements is to engage listeners who do not prefer folk music with this genre. Another product of this research is a methodological material in which I have processed Wallachian customs in such a way that they can be used in music education lessons at primary school. By confirming the hypothesis about the peculiar musicality of the inhabitants of the area, deduced from the character of folk songs, we can...
Wallachian pastures: condition, preservation and conservation potential
Mizera, Ondřej ; Křenová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Kindlmann, Pavel (referee)
For centuries, pastures were an important part of the European landscape. Grazing was widespread in the Moravian Wallachia region, where a unique grazing landscape was created. The aim of this thesis is to clarify which pastures were preserved to this day in eleven cadastral areas of the Rožnovská Bečva River valley and evaluates their importance for nature conservation. For this purpose, imprints of historical maps of Stable Cadastre for half of the 19th century were used and a vector layer of former pastures was created. In the ArcGIS Pro program, this vector layer of pastures was compared with the NATURA 2000 habitat mapping layer, the consolidated ecosystem layer (KVES), the zonation of the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area and the network of small-scale protected areas. The current state of former pastures was examined and land used changes between common and private pastures were compared. It was found that a high proportion of historic pastures has disappeared. The main reason for the disappearance is artificial afforestation; other pastures were abandoned and overgrown spontaneously. Some historical pastures, more often common pastures located near the settlements, were built up. The pastures preserved so far are very valuable for conservation and are an important component of the local...
